Why do I need hand wraps under boxing gloves?+
Wraps protect the small bones in the hand, stabilise the wrist and absorb sweat. Boxing without wraps risks sprains and fractures and shortens the life of the glove.
How long are these wraps?+
Standard adult wraps run around 4 to 4.5 metres. That length wraps the wrist multiple times for full support.
How do I wrap my hands?+
Start with the thumb loop, wrap the wrist three to four times, cover the knuckles, lace the fingers, then finish back at the wrist with the Velcro. Plenty of YouTube tutorials demonstrate this.
